Helping Kids Succeed
For children and youth to become responsible young adults, the most vital component that needs to be addressed is parental involvement in the lives of their children. Parental involvement is instrumental in helping children and youth succeed at all levels of their development including at home, in school and overall within the community.
Both the Hamilton School District in Sussex and the Oconomowoc Area School District offer workshops for parents and anyone interested to help strenghten communication between parents and their children and to increase parental involvement with the schools.
See the listing of the 2008-09 GET CONNECTED workshops offered by the Hamilton School District and the Oconomowoc Parent Education Network.
Partners: Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, Sussex-area Outreach Services, Wisconsin Community Services, Waukesha School District, Hamilton School District, Oconomowoc Area School District, and Mukwonago School District.
