Three parents of children who were on the same sports team disagreed with the administration and coaching of the team, which resulted in open, heated, parental discussions at events. Our local United Way - the United Way in Waukesha County - has had a formal relationship with the AFL-CIO for decades. Kurt Schmidt, member of Local DALU 24111, is employed by our local United Way as the AFL-CIO Community Services Liaison. He is one of almost 190 full-time state and local AFL-CIO Community Services Liaisons employed throughout the nation. They serve as links between their state federations, central labor councils, AFL-CIO afiiliated unions and their local United Ways.
